Questions and answers (from the Roda web site)
-Wulchen touchscreen drivers do I have to install?
All DP860UX15 have the touchscreen dp5100 controller. Current drivers are available in the Roda Download Center.
-I do my DP860 on a PC with DVI output, why doesn't my touchscreen work?
This is not a mistake because the additional functions of the DP860 are not provided in the DVI pin assignment.
The signal pins not used by the DP860 are used for the additional functions.
The additional functions can only be used with a Roda computer, or when using the VGA connection, together with the cable for USB, Ton & serial.
The serial connection is intended for special options and is currently not used.
The combination DVI & additional cable for USB and sound does not work.
-Is it possible to connect the DP860 as an external monitor to a VGA output of a X-loving laptop using a VGA-DVI adapter?
No, the DP860UX15 has a VGA input for this. Only DVI signals can be fed in via the DVI cable.
To all computers that do not have a DP-DVI (Roda standard), the connection must be made via a single link DVI cable!
-How do I remove existing touchscreen drivers?
Existing drivers that were carried out via a setup are uninstalled via software management.
To do this, open Start> Control Panel> Software. Then select the driver to be uninstalled and click the Uninstall button.
In most cases, it is advisable to restart the operating system after uninstalling drivers/software, as some files can only be deleted after a restart.
-Where do I find drivers XY for an older device?
We leave all drivers on our web server. If the model is no longer listed in the standard directory, the drivers were moved to the "Legacy_Models" folder.
-How I find out which touchscreen I have?
The touchscreen controller used is noted on the back of the device on the type sign.
-How do I install the UPDD?
Before installing the UPDD (Universal Pointer Device Driver), existing drivers must be uninstalled for the touchscreen to be installed.
Then manage the setup and select the touchscreen to be installed. With a serial touchscreen, the right COM port must be selected.
This is usually at Roda Tablet PCS COM4 and at Roda Notebooks COM1. (In retrospect, other touchscreens can also be added or existing ones can be removed and adapted.)
After successful installation, the UPDD ICON appears in the Systray via its context menu, among other things, the touchscreen can be calibrated.
